Hannah joined IPG in 2009. In her first year of she was named ‘Property Manager of the Year’ and went on to win the same award for the ACT region - and also ‘Newcomer of the Year’. Hannah earned her certificate 4 in Training & Assessment, has core registration for Real Estate and plans to gain her Licence in Real Estate in the near future. Hannah has many ties to the local community, participating in charity events and local sporting teams, as well as representing the state in Oztag & Aussie Rules. Under Hannah's tenure, vacancy rates for Independent Property Management have consistently stayed below 1%, which speaks volumes to her organisation and leadership.

Kate O'Leary

After working in aged care for a number of years, Kate moved to Canberra to earn her Certificate III in Business Studies and joined Independent in 2003 as a Property Manager. With her excellent interpersonal skills and an active and dynamic approach to her work she achieved several promotions - to Team Supervisor to Senior Property Manager and to now to her current role as Section Manager. She has won numerous awards and has obtained her real estate license. Kate focuses strongly on customer service with a positive attitude and can-do knowhow. Her caring, calm and positive nature, which comes from years working in aged care, has been a contributing asset to her success. Kate’s interests are in travel; visiting places such as America, Canada, Japan, Fiji, New Caledonia and New Zealand.

A Canberra local, David enjoys living in the ACT has a keen interest in the different Real Estate markets. For a number of years David specialised in the operations of 4 and 5 star hotels, as well as in a management role of a large licenced club group. He has progressed from property manager, to Team Supervisor, and now to the Team Leader of Independent's outstanding and vibrant property managers. David enjoys the day to day challenges that this career brings as well as new opportunities to expand his knowledge of the industry and build new client relationships.

Scott Townsend

Scott attended public school in Canberra and Queanbeyan, beginning his career in the building industry and two years in the ski fields. He then moved into the Funeral Industry where I spent the next fourteen years servicing the needs of families in the region when they needed it most, meeting people from all walks of life and cultures. Having joined Independent Property Group over 3 years ago as a property manager, Scott strives to provide the best service possible for both owners and tenants alike. His dedication and skills led to a promotion to team Supervisor to assist the great leadership team at Independent Property Group. Scott strives to provide outstand service to all our clients.

Tim Westphal

Tim joined the Independent team in early September 2012 as a leasing consultant. Since completing year 12 at Radford College, Tim has studied Advertising and Marketing Communications at the University of Canberra drawing on his extensive experience gained in sports coaching, retailing and hospitality. Tim uses his natural ability to connect with people to identify the needs of all his clients and help them reach the best outcome. Tim enjoys all forms of sport and plays golf, cricket and tennis.

Shortly after completing her year 12 tertiary education at Canberra College Taria, fulfilled her dream of travelling Europe. Coming home a veteran jetsetter and ready for a career in Real Estate, Taria Jankovic has been working with Independent since December 2011. Josephine started with Independent Property Management in August 2013 as a receptionist. The youngest of 5 sisters who have all worked as Leasing Consultants for Independent in the past, Josephine followed in their footsteps and is now the area expert for Tuggeranong, Woden and Weston Creek. Josephine has a welcoming personality and exceptional customer service skills - she listens to her clients' needs and ensures everyone she works with feel valued. In recognition of her excellent performance, Josephine was awarded Corporate Support Person of the year for the Real Estate Institute of the ACT in 2014.

Nancy has an extensive background in the hospitality and hotel industry. After leaving the hotel life and dabbling in winery work based in country NSW, she realised country living wasn't for her and moved to Canberra in 2013. She prides herself on delivering the best possible service for each client and is friendly, approachable and understanding.

Emma graduated from Tertiary studies in 2010 with a taste for adventure and plans to explore the world. In 2011 she commenced working as an au pair based in Italy. Emma has worked as a Childcare Assistant in Canberra for the past 3 years and joined Independent Property Management in August 2014 as an Administration Assistant. After learning more about the company, she began setting career goals for herself with a view to become a Leasing Consultant - a goal she achieved within 3 months! Emma is a friendly and outgoing person who thrives on new challenges. She prides herself on the high standard of service and communication she gives to her clients to ensure their happiness and satisfaction.
